Accreditation 101: An Introduction to the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH)

The National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) is a quality assessment and accreditation body for healthcare organizations in India. It is an autonomous body under the Quality Council of India, a government-supported organization that promotes quality in various sectors of the economy.

NABH sets standards for the quality of care and services provided by hospitals and other healthcare organizations in India. It evaluates the facilities and services of these organizations against these standards and grants accreditation to those that meet the required level of quality.

NABH accreditation is recognized as a symbol of excellence in healthcare and is seen as a way for hospitals and other healthcare organizations to demonstrate their commitment to providing high-quality care to patients. Hospitals and other healthcare organizations that are accredited by NABH are expected to continually improve their quality of care and services and to maintain the standards set by NABH.
